Definitions

ItemRuleBoundary
Readable H1Non-empty visible text inside the tagImage alt is not H1 text
ExactIdentical after tags, entities, whitespace and punctuation are removedCase ignored
PartialOne contains the otherWhich is better is not judged
JSON-LD nameAny node's name/legalName/alternateNameFirst non-empty value compared
H1 statetext / image-only / empty / noneFirst H1 only

The tool compares strings only and makes no semantic judgement; "different" is not automatically wrong. It shares the rules of scripts/homepage_title_consistency_probe.py: on the 25 cached homepages all 12 fields match the published CSV.

Logic: js/title-consistency-check.js (no dependencies, no network); scripts/test_title_consistency_check.js covers 12 assertion groups (four relations, image/empty H1, unclosed H1, quote styles, @graph, invalid JSON, entities, CSV). Parity: scripts/parity_title_consistency_check.js. Run:

node scripts/test_title_consistency_check.js
