Paste HTML to inventory images
Paste page HTML below. The tool counts images, external hosts, URL extensions, alt coverage (non-empty / empty / missing) and images inside body paragraphs. No network, no upload, no dependencies.

Definitions
| Item | Rule | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Image | Non-empty, non-data: src | CSS backgrounds excluded |
| External | Different registrable domain | Subdomains internal |
| Extension | .jpg/.png and similar at the end of the path | Not the served format |
| alt | Non-empty / empty string / missing, counted apart | Copy quality not judged |
| Body image | img inside a p | Based on tag nesting |
The tool reads only statically written img tags and does not request images, so it cannot judge the served format, byte size or availability; an extension may differ from the real format. It shares the rules of scripts/article_image_source_probe.py: on the 36 cached article pages all 10 metrics match the published CSV.
Logic: js/image-inventory-check.js (no dependencies, no network); scripts/test_image_inventory_check.js covers 9 assertion groups (extensions, no extension, three alt states, internal/external, paragraph images, data src, CSV). Parity: scripts/parity_image_inventory_check.js. Run:
node scripts/test_image_inventory_check.js
